Dolly Mae Chapman Pearson, 88, of Family Circle Drive, Taylorsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Valley Nursing Center. She was born in Alexander County, April 12, 1923, daughter of the late Solomon Cobern and Emma James Chapman.
She was retired from Schneider Mills and she was a member of Little River Baptist Church. She loved feeding birds and working in her flowers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Roy Harlan” Bud” Pearson Jr., three infant daughters; brothers, Cephus, Elisha, Canie, Plumer and Don; sisters, Dona, Grace and Mary.
Survivors include daughters, Pat Miller and husband, Ken, and Betty Jarvis, all of Kannapolis; Cindy Jolly and husband, Johnny, Kay Hubbard and husband, Jimmy, all of Taylorsville, Lynne Ham and husband, Ronnie of North Wilkesboro; son, Bobby Pearson and wife, Fay, and Ricky Pearson and wife, Sonya all of Stony Point; two sisters, Maggie McEntire of Wilkesboro and Dorothy Lowery of South Daytona, Fla; one brother, Floyd Chapman of Taylorsville; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Little River Baptist Church. The Rev Jeff Chapman and Bro. Jerry Hubbard will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Adams Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m.
