Amanda Alverta Teague Boston, 83, of Willie McLeod Road, Taylorsville died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley. She was born August 30, 1926 in Alexander County to the late William Teague and Bessie Poole Teague. She was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church and had worked at Chaircraft Furniture and Modern Cleaners.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Boston; four sisters, Fannie Allen, Emma Mallard, Marie McCurdy and Ida Teague; two brothers, Raeford Teague and James Teague; a granddaughter, Tamorah Boston and a great-grandson, Hubert Montenegro.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Boston Featherson and husband, Alonzo and Bobbie Boston Lipford and husband, Carl all of Taylorsville; a son, Nelson Boston of Taylorsville; three sisters, Gracie Howell, Lacie Teague and Ethel Little all of Taylorsville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Liberty Grove Baptist Church by the Revs. Ardeal Roseboro, William Little and Kenroy Miller.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Adams Funeral Home from 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
The family will receive friends at the church from l:30-2 p.m. Monday.
