Lonnie “Bill” Underwood, 73, of Wilkesboro, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.   He was born December 14, 1936 in Watauga County to Com and Ruby Miller Underwood. He retired from Lovette Company.

 

Survivors include: his wife, Beth Bobbitt Underwood of the home; one son, Edward Underwood and wife Debbie of Martinsville, VA; two daughters, Becky Kunkle and husband Rob of Millers Creek, Marie Todd and husband Carl of North Wilkesboro; two stepdaughters, Cindy Kelly and husband Joe of Mobile, AL, Donna Klein of Jefferson, GA; two sisters, Joanne Burke and husband Hamp of Millers Creek, Mary Jane Snyder Church and husband Bruce of Roaring river; nine grandchildren.

 

Memorial services will be 2:00 o’clock Sunday at Oak Forest Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Church and Rev. John Burke officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
