 Harold Burton Suddreth, 71 of Pop Munday Lane, Taylorville, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County, June 26, 1938 son of the late Charles and Jesse Estes Suddreth.
 He was a retired Firefighter with the city of Hickory, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and a veteran of the US Navy.
 Survivors include his wife Betty Mull Suddreth of the home; two daughters Georgeanne Blevins and husband Jay of Taylorsville, and Crystal Whisnant and husband John of Valdese; a son Kelly Suddreth and wife Sherri of Taylorsville, five sisters Sharon Suddreth of Charlotte, Nell Craig, Shirley Murphy, Carol McDade and Iris Estes all of Lenoir; a brother Don Suddreth of Lenoir; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 pm Monday, March 1, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church. The Revs. Stephen Dagenhart and Eddie Shumate will officiate. Burial will follow in Liledoun Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 until 8 pm at Calvary Baptist Church. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour at the church.
 In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church, 417 Airport Road, Taylorsville, NC 28681, or to Blessed Home Boys Home, 4628 Carswell Road, Valdeses, NC 28690.
