Claude Terry Bauguess, 81, of Harper Avenue, Lenoir, died Friday, February 26, 2010 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir. He was born March 11, 1928 in Wilkes County to Cling and Pearl Cothren Bauguess. He was a US Army veteran and served during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise Woodruff Bauguess; his parents; one grandson, Robbie Bauguess; two step-daughters, Patsy Hayes and Sue Greer; two step-sons, Junior Owens and William Minton.

 

Survivors include: one daughter, Ruby Bauguess Church and husband Charles of North Wilkesboro; one son, Robert L. Bauguess and wife Connie of North Wilkesboro; two grandchildren, Andrew Church and Tonya Church; one great-grandson, Tyler Bauguess; one sister, Betty Smith of Denver; one step-daughter, Rachel Minton of Lenoir; two step-sons, Jack Minton and Kenneth Owens both of Lenoir.

 

Graveside services will be 1:00 o’clock Wednesday at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir with Rev. Mack McKinney officiating. 

 

Pallbearers will be Junior Porter, Bo Watson, Bobby Singleton, Mike Burns, Rick Jarrett and Dale Shumate.
