Billy Joe Stalnaker, Sr., 58, of High Rock Road, Boomer, died Tuesday, March 3, 2010 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. He was born July 4, 1951 in Mountain City, TN to Harry and Marie Cannon Stalnaker. 

 

Survivors include: his wife, Virginia Pearson Stalnaker of the home; three sons, Billy Joe Stalnaker of North Wilkesboro, Daniel Lee Stalnaker of Hickory, Christopher Lynn Stalnaker of the home; one sister, Betty Stalnaker of North Wilkesboro; one brother, Walter Cannon of Lenoir; three grandsons.

 

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Powers and Rev. Greg Bauguess officiating.

 

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Wilkes, 1908 West Park Drive, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 or to Hinshaw Street Church of God, 910 Hinshaw Street, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
