Claude D Vickers

            Mr. Claude D. Vickers, 81, of Wilkesboro, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

            Mr. Vickers was born October 1, 1936 in Wilkes County, the son of the late Coy Alexander Vickers and Winnie Pearl Bullis Vickers.

            He was a US Air Force veteran and was a self-employed business owner. He loved NASCAR and loved his dogs, Walker and T.R.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: two sisters and three brothers.

            Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Donna Vickers of the home; children, Sherry Vickers Wyatt and husband, Greg, of Wilkesboro, Chris Vickers of the home; grandson, Dustin Johnston and wife, Heather, of Wilkesboro; great-grandson, Easton Johnston.
