Dena (Earle) Hamby

            Mrs. Dena Earle Hamby, 56, of Gill Childers Road, Taylorsville, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at her residence.

            Mrs. Hamby was born September 21, 1961 in Sumter, SC, the daughter of the late Kenneth Elijah Earle and Juanita Barber Earle.

            She had worked as a CNA and was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church. Dena had a great love for animals, especially loved to ride horses and enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and was a very good cook.

            Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband of 27 years, Robert Lee Hamby, Jr.; a daughter, Adriane Dawn Teachout and husband, Joey, of Ashe County; a son Thomas Elijah Hamby of the home; a step-daughter, Amanda Pyatte and husband, Adam, of Hickory; a step-son, Roger Hamby of Taylorsville; five grandchildren, Alyssa Jade, Chloe Paige, Levi Childers, Lacey Rae Pyatte, Aliya Nicole Hamby; a sister, Katrina Dawn Poladion of Panama City Beach; a brother, Eric Bruce Earle of Raleigh; a dog she loved dearly, Bear.

            The family will conduct a private memorial service at the home at a later date.
