Edgar Wayne Dagenhart

            Mr. Edgar Wayne Dagenhart, 76, of Taylorsville, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Brian Center Hickory.

            Mr. Dagenhart was born July 31, 1941 in Alexander County, the son of the late Edgar Dagenhart and Mabel Hendren Dagenhart.

            He had worked in the furniture industry and attended Calvary Baptist Church.  He enjoyed gospel singing and loved to watch Western movies on television.

            Those left to cherish his memory include: a sister, Nancy D. Earp and husband, Ray, of Taylorsville; a brother, Steven Dagenhart and wife, Beth, of Kannapolis; and a number of nieces and nephews.

            The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Stephen Dagenhart and Darren Earp will officiate. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.

            The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

            Pallbearers include: Woody Childers, Darren Earp, Evan Lackey, Patrick Dagenhart, Thomas Finney and Phillip Moore.

            Honorary pallbearers include: Gerald Elder and Paul Dean Childers.
