Gladys Marie Vorce

            Gladys Marie Vorce, 94, of Cabin Lane, Hiddenite, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

            Gladys was born April 24, 1925 in Muskegon, MI, the daughter of the late Frank Leo Bacheller and Verna Willsie Bacheller.

            She began her teaching career in a one room school house in Michigan and continued teaching for at least 45 years. She was a member of Wilkesboro SDA church and also Statesville SDA church. She loved music, singing and playing the accordion.

            Gladys had seven siblings, Martha, Orren, Leo, Don, Ruth, Laura and Neva.  

            Those family members left to cherish and honor her memory include: a daughter, Jana Vorce of Arizona; three sons, Daryl Vorce of Florida, Douglas and Byron Vorce of Michigan; three grandchildren, Aaron and Adam Vorce, Kaelyn Vorce; numerous other relatives and friends.
