James Werner Stutz, 75, of Statesville, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
James was born October 5, 1943 in Lucus County, OH, the son of the late James Howard Stutz and Edna Jane Werner.
He graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s Degree and worked in the transportation industry. James was an Ohio State football and basketball fan and also a WWII buff. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Statesville.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: a son, Christopher John Stutz.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory include: his wife of 52 years, Karen Kleinhans Stutz; a daughter, Renee Susanne Stutz Campbell and husband, Gabriel Dylan Campbell of Cary; a sister, Sara Jane Kirby of FL; grandchild, Beckham Christopher Campbell of Cary.
The funeral service will be held at Noon, Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 740 N. Center Street, Statesville. Pastor Ernie Sheldon will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
