I'm truly sorry about your loss. I had the privilege of serving with Joel in Fort Drum and Iraq.  I will always remember him as a fine young man and a great Soldier who always took care of our mission.  I spent quite a bit of time talking with him when we were deployed in Iraq, always tried to mentor him and gave him the best advice so he would continue his development as a man and a Soldier. I pray to God that he may have Joel enjoying a well deserved rest even though I believe it was way too soon.  May he rest in peace.

I know he was a good person threw my son in law and daughter...my thoughts and condolences go out to the family... it feels my heart with sorrow to know the loss of anothere soldiers life here on earth has expired... so young but lord give this family comfort in there time of need. May he soar with the angels and watch over his loved ones.

Hello I'm sorry to hear about your families loss. I served at Fort Drum and Iraq with Joel. He will be missed as a great person, son, and soldier who fought for the freedoms of this great country. Your family is in our Thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I knew Joel when we were both at drum, we deployed together to Iraq in 2008, and to hear of this breaks my heart, he will be missed by all who knew him. God Bless. And may he rest in peace.

I served with joel in the army for 4 years, we went ti AIT, FT.Drum NY, and iraq together. I am so sorry to here that such a good friend/ BATTLE BUDDIE for LIFE has pass if the family need any help, money, or just to talk about some of his experiences he had while in the army I have lots of pics of Joel I love you bro! Climb to Glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry i couldnt make it up there for the service, however, my thoughts and prayers go out to they family and other friends of joels. he will be missed greatly and i charish the times i had with him.... Just remember we now have another precious angel that is looking over us....
