Juanita (J) Billings

            Mrs. Juanita J. Billings, 89, of Barrett Mountain Road, Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her residence.

            Mrs. Billings was born November 20, 1929 in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Arthur Augustus Jolly and Lucy C. Echerd Jolly.

            She was a seamstress for Carolina Glove until retirement and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening and being outside and dearly loved all of her grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling to the beach and the mountains.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Edwin C. Billings; and three siblings.

            Those left to cherish and honor her memory include: two daughters, Sheri Coley of Hiddenite, Wendi Pharr and husband, Dennis, of Hiddenite; five grandchildren, Edwin Wayne Coley, Destiny LeAnn Franklin, Nathan Lee Baker, Travis Pharr, Dustin Pharr; two great-grandchildren, Ava LyAn Coley, Kyla Jade Coley; two sisters, Ruby Collins of Taylorsville, Doris Coats of Statesville; a brother, Arthur Jolly of Spartanburg, SC.

            The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.

            The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
