Julie Diane (Barnette) Martinez (Wilkes Location)

Julie Diane Barnette Martinez, 33, of Quail Ridge Court, Lenoir, died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at her home. She was born May 24, 1976 in Wilkes County to Danny Charles and Delores Diane Royal Barnette. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Freeman Royal.

 

Survivors include: one daughter, RoseAnna Elizabeth Martinez of Mexico; her mother and stepfather, Diane and Charles Shepherd of Hays; her father of Hays; two sisters, Jennifer Lynn Bolick of Jonesville, Xena Marie Shepherd of Hays; maternal grandmother, Vergie Lucille Minton and husband Bobby of North Wilkesboro; paternal grandmother, Shirley Gentle of Millers Creek.

 

Graveside services will be 1:00 o’clock, Monday at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Shumate and Pastor Gary Benesh officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
