Kindola Ford Obituary

Mrs. Kindola Fox Dagenhart Ford, age 95, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 following a brief illness. She was born on January 16, 1924 in Alexander County, the only daughter of the late Jake Fox and Lona Bowman Fox.

She grew up alongside her late brother, Clifford Elmore Fox at Millersville Village. It was in that community that she met and married Marvilee Dagenhart, who preceded her in death on September 25, 1979. In addition, Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Linda Ferguson Dagenhart; her second husband, Edward Ford, and her beloved son, Toyice Lee Dagenhart.

Kindola worked in the textile industry for more than 30 years before retiring from Carolina Glove. Not only was she a gracious Southern lady, but also she was a genuine and caring person. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A devoted and faithful member of Friendship Lutheran Church, she was a past member of the choir and had served on various committees. A prior member of the Builders Sunday School Class, she delivered flowers to the sick members in the local hospitals as part of their Caring Fellowship. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, traveling, and eating out with friends. But, the love of her life was her family, especially her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Rick Dagenhart and wife, Linda, of Mooresville; her grandchildren, Dara Swift and husband, Barry, of Claremont, Curt Dagenhart and Tammy Hoyle, of Hickory, Lisa Pennell Pruitt of Lenoir, Kevin Dagenhart and wife, Blair, of Charlotte, David Dagenhart and wife, Wynne, of Charlotte; her great-grandchildren, Lindy and Kimberlyn Swift, Regan and Colby Dagenhart, Jacob and Olivia Dagenhart, Dailey and Lizzie Lane Schenck, Amy Miller and Conner Pruitt; her great-great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kaitlin Miller; her nephew, Cheney Fox; her sister-in-law, Joan Fox; her best friend, Shirley Dagenhart; and family friend, Judy Henderson.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Friendship Lutheran Church. Pastor Craig Sigmon will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
