Pearlie Mae Bumgardner Ervin, 89, of Goble Rd. in Hiddenite, NC passed away n Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Pearlie Mae Bumgardner Ervin was born February 20, 1923 in Charlotte, NC to the late John Bumgardner and Frances Bumgarner Ervin. She spent her life as a home maker. She was also a member of The Church of the Open Door.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Ervin was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Nelson Ervin, her sons Gene Ervin and Larry Ervin, and four brothers Joe, Carroll, Tommy, and Richard Bumgardner.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include; her daughter: Ethel Barnette, of Mooresville, NC; her sons: Randy (Lib) Ervin of Charlotte, and John (Ginger) Ervin of Hiddenite; one sister: Eloise Hanline, of Charlotte, 25 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
A grave side service will be held at the Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery in Davidson, NC on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sammy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Alexander County Hospice (50 Lucy Echerd Ln, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
