Mr. Rex Eller, 78, of Purlear passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
Rex was born on Thursday, September 1, 1938 to Percy Cleveland Eller and Ora Mae Eller.
Rex was a member of Lewis Fork Baptist Church, the Mt Pleasant Ruritan club, Honor Guard, and an avid bingo player.
Rex is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Willa Dean Wiles Eller and brothers, Raymond and James Eller.
Rex is survived by: his daughters, Kristi Greer and husband, Kevin of Wilkesboro, Jennifer Estes and husband, Adrian of Purlear; sisters, Christine Eller and Haline Eller, both of Wilkesboro, Nancy Barnes of Tega Cay, South Carolina; brothers, Raynard Eller, and Max Eller, both of Purlear, Edward “Ed” Eller and Kenneth”Kent” Eller, both of Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Ethan and Cameron Greer of Wilkesboro, Taner and Sofie Estes of Purlear.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Lewis Fork Baptist church. Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 at the church. Burial will follow the funeral at Mt Lawn Memorial Park.
Full military honors will be given by VFW # 1142
