Rufus Wagoner (Wilkes) Obituary

Mr. Rufus Eugene “Gene” Wagoner, 74, of McGrady, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at his residence.

Rufus was born on Saturday, November 18, 1944 in Wilkes County to Raymond Hobert Wagoner and Bessie Viola Royal Wagoner.

Rufus is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eula Mae Benge Wagoner; sisters, Margie Wagoner and Geneva Wagoner.

Rufus is survived by his daughters; Lisa Fox (Jessie) of McGrady, Crystal Pierce (Mark) of Booneville; son, Daniel Wagoner of the home; brothers, Spencer Wagoner (Mae), Marvin Wagoner (Sue), all of Mulberry, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11:30-12:30 at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes Chapel at 2901 Moravian Falls Rd . A Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Mt. Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, North Wilkesboro. Rev. Junior Harrold will be officiating.

The Family request in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes P.O. Box 396 Moravian Falls, NC 28654 for final expenses.
