Alan Spencer Childers

            Alan Spencer Childers, age 61, of Taylorsville, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

            Alan was born August 21, 1963, in Alexander County, the son of the late Terry Ambrose Childers and Brenda Joyce Austin Childers.

            He worked for Carolina Glove for many years and was of the Christian faith. He was a very kind and loving man. He loved music especially the Beatles and was very talented on playing the drums, without a lesson. He also loved his family very much.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melodie Annette Childers.

            Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: a sister, Sherry Eller of Statesville; a brother, Terry Chris Childers of Taylorsville; aunt, Reanette Connoll of California; nephews, Charles Ivey Eller, Jr. (Alysia) of Troutman, Peter Raiford Eller of Statesville; niece, Ingrid Grace Eller of Statesville; great-nephews, Harrison Charles Eller, Wesley Richard Eller.

            A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the Hiddenite Cemetery. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel.

The body will lie-in-state from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home.
