Alan Fountain

            Alan Fountain, age 71, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at his home.

            Alan was born November 17, 1953 in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Allen Fountain and Lucia Josephine Pulvirenti Fountain.

            He was a deputy sheriff for Onondaga County, NY for over 20 years. He enjoyed having BBQ’s and picnics for friends and family. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially shooting guns with the grandchildren.

            Those left to cherish and honor Alan’s memories include: his wife of 46 years, Doreen Armstrong Fountain of the home; his daughter, Jessica Fountain of Taylorsville; his sons, Daniel Harrel (Ashley) of Fredericksburg, VA, R. J. Fountain (Amanda) of Thurmond, NC; his grandchildren, Caleb, Samuel, Mya, Amour, Camden, Kylee, Kole, Eli, Shannon, Griffin; his sisters, Karen Vincent of FL, Denise Paton of NY, Michelle Slavych (Merko) of TX; his brother, Donald Walter (Rose) of AZ.          

            The family will hold a gathering of friends and family at a later date.
