Mrs. Alda Ann Foster Triplett, 84, of Purlear went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Watauga Medical Center after a sudden onset from Graves Disease.
Alda was born on May 27, 1940 in Wilkes County to Raymond Smith Foster and Pearl Alda Cox Foster.
She loved to cook and listen to gospel music. Alda had a love for panda bears and the many cats and dogs that came to visit her daily. She was a unique woman and she wasn’t one to give up, she fought to the end.
Alda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Avery Triplett; daughter, Mary Ann and brother, Stanley Foster.
Those left to cherish her memory are son, Danny Triplett of Purlear and special acquaintance, Greta Wallace of West Jefferson; brothers, Charles Foster and Kenneth Foster of Purlear.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, June 3, 2024 at Lewis Fork Baptist Church in Purlear.
Rev. Dwayne Andrews will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to Lewis Fork Baptist Church, 395 Lewis Fork Church Road, Purlear, NC 28665, or donations to the research of Graves’ Disease or Dementia.
