Allen Fate Ramsey

Mr. Allen Fate Ramsey, 69, of Wilkesboro passed away on Friday, May 09, 2025 at his home.

Allen was born on March 29, 1956 in Catawba County to Lester Benny Ramsey and Laura Ruby Hatley Ramsey.

He was a jokester with a great sense of humor who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Chipper. He was a member of First Light Baptist of Mt. View and worked many years at Carolina Mirror.

Allen is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Roger Ramsey, Danny Ramsey

Allen is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jo Ann Ramsey; daughter, Melissa Ramsey Delp and husband, Collin of Icard; sons, Logan Roope and husband, Cody of North Wilkesboro, Michael Roope and wife, Leslie of Hays; brothers, Dean Ramsey and wife, Karen of Hickory, Howard Ramsey and wife, Revonda of Vale, Jimmy Ramsey of Hickory; grandchildren, Seth Roope, Rebecca Roope, Alyvia Shuping, Kaylee Roope, Faith Delp, Corbin Delp; great grandchildren, Jonah Roope, Grace Roope; sister in law, Rita Ramsey of Claremont.

The family will conduct a private service at a later date.
