Obituary
Alvin James Baldwin, age 83, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Alvin was born August 4, 1939 in Wilkes County, the son of the late Samuel Eugene Baldwin and Maggie Johnson Baldwin.
In his early years, he had worked in textiles and also enjoyed peddling produce. He was a US Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Baldwin and a sister, Francis Webster.
Those left to cherish his memories include a daughter, Denise Baldwin Hubbard and a grandchild; two sisters, Elizabeth Millsaps of Taylorsville and Brenda Deal of Moravian Falls; a nephew, Randy Millsaps (Laura); two nieces, Vickie Deal and Jackie Teague (Bobby).
