Ann (Smith) McCurdy

            Ann Smith McCurdy, age 90, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

            Ann was born August 9, 1933 in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Zeb Smith and Ina Alexander Smith.

            Ann worked for Champion Paper for many years, she later worked part-time at the Alexander County Chamber of Commerce. She volunteered for the Senior Center and was a member of Taylorsville Presbyterian Church for over 70 years. She enjoyed traveling and going out to eat. She also enjoyed the activities at the Senior Center.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McCurdy.

            There are many relatives and special friends who became family that will cherish her memories.

            The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 3:45 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Taylorsville Presbyterian Church. Rev. Paul Sink and Rev. George Holleman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.
