Barbara Barnes Lowrance, age 78, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Taylorsville House.
Barbara was born April 5, 1946, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Jack Barnes and Era Gunnell Barnes.
Barbara was an educator for many years and a member of Three Forks Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener, loved working in her flowers and she loved her dog “Sadie”.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Michael “Mike” Dwanell Lowrance and a brother, Ronnie Barnes.
Those left to cherish and honor Barbara’s memories include: her sons, Shannon Lowrance (Lori-Ann), Jason Lowrance (Amanda); her grandchildren, Paige, Chase, Peyton, Emily (Elias), Madison, and Lathan.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2025, at Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. James Smith will officiate.
