Ben "Benny" Marcus Leonard, Jr.

Ben “Benny” Marcus Leonard, Jr, 76, of Taylorsville, passed peacefully at his home on Friday, May 23, 2025.  

Benny was born November 27, 1948. He was the son of the late Ben Marcus Leonard, Sr. and Eula Leonard.  Benny grew up in Glen Alpine North Carolina and graduated from Glen Alpine High School and enjoyed sharing that he was former class president!  Benny retired from Inmont Corp of Carbon City, NC where he was employed for over twenty years ago.   

Benny is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Karen Leonard of Taylorsville; his daughter, Kelly Giles McFarland of Morganton and numerous grandchildren.  Benny also is survived by three sisters, Diane (Bob) Wiberg of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; Mary Simpson of Nebo, NC, Rachel Watkins of Santa Maria, CA and a number of nieces and nephews and extended family members 

In addition to his parents, Ben and Eula Leonard, Benny was preceded in death by his siblings Mindoro Lutz, Jack Leonard, Charles Leonard, Garland Franklin, Jim Franklin, Bob Franklin, Evelyn John, Roy Leonard, Betty Lyle and Mabel Walker.  

Per his request, no services will be held.  Benny was loved and will be missed.
