Bert Donathan III

            Bert Donathan III, age 61, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at his home.

            Bert was born May 21, 1963 in McDowell County, Kentucky, the son of Roberta Newsome Donathan and the late Bert Donathan, Jr.

            Bert worked as a truckdriver and was of the Baptist faith. He was a wonderful husband, great dad, and an awesome grand-dad. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting guns, collecting knives, and was a hard worker that provided for his family.

            Including his mother, those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife, Janet Thompson Donathan of the home; his sons, Bert Donathan IV (Beth) of Statesville, Bryant Donathan (Angela) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Kaylin, Bryson, Matthew, Summer, Siera; his sister, Rettie Skeens of Ashland, KY; his brothers, Phillip Donathan (April) of Stony Point, NC, Doyle Donathan of Newcomerstown, OH.
