Betty Ann Gregory

Ms. Betty Ann Gregory, age 71, of Hickory, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

\Betty was born April 30, 1950 in Alexander County, the daughter of Roland Wellman and Hazel Maude Gregory and Eugene King. 

She attended Happy Plains High School.  Betty had worked over 40 years in the healthcare field as a LPN, CNA, and a home caretaker before retiring.  She enjoyed thrifting, yard sales and shopping.  Most of all, her favorite pastime was being with her family and loved ones.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Willie Ann Philips; brothers, Robert and Joseph Gregory.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her children, Larissa Cunningham of Ohio, Rodney Teague of NC, April Teague of Ohio; the father of her children, Larry Teague (Francina Teague); bonus sons, Samyell Terry and Ricardo Ellerbee; a brother, Marvin Gregory; grandchildren, Anthone Teague (Jennifer Teague), Shala Thompson (Montelle Thompson), Tyanna Campbell, Paris Hammonds, Kaydence Powell; great-grandchildren, Jykese Thompson, Saniyah Thompson, McKenna Teague; Kiera Thompson; nieces and nephews, Anthony Phillips, Sabrina Gregory, Rhonda Gregory, Sandy Bennett, Jay Phillips, Keisha Gregory, Don Sunderland; special friends and honory mentions in her life, Janice Gilliam, Laronya Teague, Creola Jones, James (Doug) Teague.

The celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Liberty Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Elliot Boston and Rev. Anthony Carter will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.
