Betty (Griffin) Seamone

            Betty Griffin Seamone, age 76, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at her home.

            Betty was born August 9, 1948, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Parks Griffin and Anne Lee Adams Griffin.

            Betty was a member of Millersville Baptist Church. She loved all animals especially her cats and dogs. Betty loved working in her flowers and loved her family and grandchildren dearly.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Griffin.

            Those left to cherish and honor Betty’s memories include: her husband of 59 years, Tom Seamone of the home; her son, Dwayne Seamone; her daughter, Stacy Cothren (Joey); her grandchildren, Chelsea Seamone, Jessica Seamone, Dallas Cothren (Hannah) and their daughter Rosie Joe, Annie Cothren, Briar Cothren (Gwen) and their son Liam; and a number of friends and family.

            The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2025, at Millersville Baptist Church. Pastor Bill Orren and Rev. Eddie Jolly will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

            The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.

            Pallbearers include: Joey Cothren, Dallas Cothren, Briar Cothren, Marty Shook, Dennis Fortner, and Carson Deal.

            Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
