Carol (Blackburn) Jones

Mrs. Carol Blackburn Jones, 67, of Lenior passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Winston Salem. 

Carol was born on April 2, 1957 in Wilkes County to Jimmy Blackburn and Radie Eloise Johnson Blackburn. 

Her favorite pass times were crafting, painting, crochet and going to auctions. 

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Debbie Blackburn and brother, Daryl Blackburn. 

Carol is survived by her husband of 35 years, Larry Wayne Jones Sr.; daughters, Tina Lynn Lee of Lenoir, Cindy Carol Calhoun and husband, Mike of Rhodiss, Joey Ann Walton and husband, Billy of Crumpler; son, Larry Jones Jr and wife, Sonya of Mable; brothers, Terry Blackburn, Michael Blackburn, Gary Billings, Larry Billings all of Wilkes; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 

The family will conduct a private service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
