Charles "Leon" Moose

            Mr. Charles “Leon” Moose, 57, of Johnny Martin Lane, Stony Point, passed away on June 24, 2018 at his residence, unexpectedly.

            Leon was born February 16, 1961 in York County, SC to the late Ray Moose and Elizabeth Hardin Moose.

            Leon was an outstanding human being, giving to all and a great provider for all his children. He was also a protector of all his family and friends. He loved spending time with his family and always put others before himself. He was of the Baptist faith. He will always be cherished and will be truly missed.

            Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Letitia Church Moose of the home;  a son, Dustin Moose and wife, Flora, of Taylorsville; three step-children, Blake Price, Robert Dillard of Taylorsville, and Brandon Dillard of Bakersville; granddaughter, Alexis Moose; five sisters, Sandy Kerley and husband, Randy, of Hiddenite, Carol McCurdy and husband, John, of Taylorsville, Beverly Sowers and husband, Mike,of Statesville, Gale Hoover and husband, Todd, of Taylorsville, Juel Chapman and husband, Rocky, of Taylorsville; a brother, Bobby Moose of Taylorsville; brothers-in-law, Samuel Church, Andrew Church;  a number of nieces and nephews.

           The family will conduct a Service of Remembrance will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Mountain View Church on Hwy 16 North, Taylorsville. Pastor Buster Treadaway will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.

There will also be a Memorial service held by by Dustin Moose at Wayfound Baptist Church at 5 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2018 at Wayfound Baptist Church. Pastor Jimmy Bowman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. prior to the service.
