Charles "Chucky" Baker

            Charles “Chucky” Baker, age 60, of Taylorsville, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Atrium Health-Monroe.

            He was born July 22, 1962 in Alexander County, the son of the late Pete Tate Baker and Maggie Pennell Baker.

            He worked in the furniture industry and was a member of Hiddenite Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, and anything that pertained to the outdoors. He always had a smile, and he was a man with a kind heart.

            Those left to cherish and honor his memory include his brother, James Baker (Denise) of Newland, NC; his aunts, Willie Lemley, Betty Southard (Raymond); and numerous cousins and friends.

            A gathering of family and friends to honor the life of Chucky will begin at 3 p.m. until on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Hiddenite Church of God.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Children Hospital.
