Obituary
Chatsie William Barnes, age 80, of Taylorsville, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House.
Chatsie was born June 16, 1943 in Alexander County, the son of the late June Barnes and Hessie Howell Barnes.
He worked as a saw miller for most of his working career and was of the Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors, landscaping, mowing, and gardening.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his sister, Joyce Barnes; his brothers, Lindsay Barnes and Charles Barnes.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory include: his son, Tyrone Barnes of Taylorsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2023 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Tyra Martin will officiate.
Mr. Barens body will lie-in-state from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel.
