Mrs. Christine Marie Wellman Dye, age 87, of Stony Point, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Maple Leaf Heath Care in Statesville.
Christine was born December 22, 1933 in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus Wellman and Beulah Morrison Wellman.
She worked for Holly Farms in Hiddenite and also Wilkesboro. She was a member of St. Joseph Baptist Church. She loved her family, and her animals. She also enjoyed cooking, going to yard sales, and watching soap operas on TV.
Including her parents, she preceded in death by: her husband, Henry Lee Dye; sons, Henry Frank Dye, Ernest Lee Dye; grandsons, Henry Frank Dye, Jr., Laquinnis Shawn Dye; five sisters and two brothers.
Those left to cherish and honor her memory include: daughter-in-law, Alma “Penny” Dye of Stony Point; grandsons, Eric Dye (Karin) of Maiden, Ernest Lee-Que Dye (Misty) of Stony Point; step-grandsons, Deon Danner, Devron Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Keyosha Dye, Evin Dye; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 at St. Joseph Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesville. Rev. Dr. Derrick Clemmons will officiate.
The body will lie-in-state from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home.
