Connie (Patterson) Chatham

            Connie Patterson Chatham, age 78, of Hiddenite, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

            Connie was born September 4, 1944 in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Wade Patterson, Sr. and Mary Lynn Johnson Patterson.

            She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church and had retired from Intercraft Industries in 2007. She spent the rest of her life at home doing gardening, cooking, relaxing and doing normal housework. Connie was a hard-working woman and was always willing to help others.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her brothers, Wade Patterson, Jr. and Walter Patterson.

            Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her husband of 55 years, Wayne Chatham of the home; her daughters, Cindy Loudermelk (Jodie) of Taylorsville, Cristie Deal (Kevin) of Hiddenite; her son, Barry Chatham (Shannon) of Statesville; her grandchildren, Grant and Jordan Chatham, Mark Worley, Amanda Foxx (Brandon).

            The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home. Rev. Joey Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery.

            The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

            Pallbearers include: Wayne Chatham, Barry Chatham, Kevin Deal, Jodie Loudermelk, Mark Worley, and Grant Chatham.
