Craig Anthony Sanderson

Mr. Craig Anthony Sanderson, 69, of Moravian Falls passed away on January 30 ,2026 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. 

Craig was born on September 2, 1956 in Jefferson, County Texas to William Lawton Sanderson and Marilyn Wynema Phillips.

He was a jack of all trades; he played the guitar since the age of 5 and continued to play nightly.  While in Texas he worked rodeos for 20 years and went by the nickname “Tex”.   Craig was a compassionate and friendly person. He enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fly fishing and had a great love of motorcycles. 

Craig is preceded in death by his parents, William and Marilyn Sanderson.

Craig is survived by his wife of 16 years, Cheryl Sanderson of the home; sister, B Snader of Texas; brothers, Billy Sanderson (Kerri) of Texas, Bill Sanderson (Julie) of Texas; special friends, Ron and Betty Robinson and daughter, Megan Sanderson of Texas.   

 The family will conduct a celebration of life at a later date.
