Cynthia Hill

Cynthia Sue McCurdy Hill was born in Taylorsville, NC on January 27, 1959 to Dwight and Betty McCurdy.  She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Cynthia, known as Cynthie and LouToo, worked as a teacher's assistant for thirty years before retiring in 2015.  She also cared for over a dozen children in the foster system.  She was a loving mother to her children, step-children and foster children.

Cynthia enjoyed gardening, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.  She was always willing to share the goodness of Jesus with anyone and lived her life as an example of God's Love.  She was an extremely giving woman.  She would gift you anything she thought you may need, whether you wanted it or not.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Dwight, and her husband, Charles Mark Hill.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Betty McCurdy, children Crystal Harris (Traci Jones) and Michael Harris. Stepsons: Zeraan Hill (Madison) and Zavier Hill (Rachel).  Brothers: Ronnie McCurdy and Marshall McCurdy (Erin). Also, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

            A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylorsville, NC. Visitation with family to immediately precede the service at 10:30 a.m.
