Danny Robert Deal

            Danny Robert Deal, age 80, of Claremont, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Carolina Caring in Newton.

            Danny was born July 23, 1945, in Catawba County, the son of the late Robert Charles Deal and Dorothy Lowrance Deal.

            During his working career, he worked in the furniture industry and was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church on County Home Road in Conover. He loved being in the sun, and enjoyed traveling to the beach. He enjoyed going to the Claremont Café with his friends, spending time with his granddaughter and his two great-grandbabies.

            Family members left to cherish and honor Danny’s memories include: his wife of almost 62 years, Gail Lail Deal of the home; his daughter, Robin Denine Deal of the home; his granddaughter, Brianna Raven Little (Joshua) of Taylorsville; his great-grandchildren, Brantley James Little, Ivie Rae Little; his sister, Deborah Gail Hilton of Maiden, NC; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

            The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 4420 County Home Road, Conover, NC 28613. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Deborah L. Frye and Christopher McCall officiating.
