David Allen George

            David Allen George, age 69, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

            David was born April 19, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Paul Ross George and Ellen Louvada Harrington George.

            David worked in the furniture industry for many years and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. He loved animals. He was just a people person with a kind and caring heart.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: wife, Nancy Scott George; sister, Wanda Faye George; brothers, Melvin, George, Edsel George, Neil George, Danny George; step-son, Jamie Edwards.

            Those left to cherish and honor David’s memories include: his children, Heather Lawrence (Arthur), Scott George (Toni) all of Taylorsville; his step-children, Diane Hartness (Bradley) of Taylorsville, Sandra Butts (David) of Texas; his grandchildren, Haley George, Aleiyah Biddle; a number of step-grandchildren; his sisters, Audustine Barnes, Mary Ellen Harrington, Debbie Hubbard (David); his brothers, Keith George (Mary Lynn), Rickey George (Lori); his sisters-in-law, Brenda George and Elaine George; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

            A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2025, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. James Smith will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.

            The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. prior to the service.

            Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
