David Scott Massagee

            David Scott Massagee, age 58, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at his home. David was born November 28, 1965 in Catawba County, the son of Elizabeth Corpening Day and the late Eric Von Massagee.

            David was a member of Millersville Baptist Church and loved to fish, and was a good Samaritan for everyone.

            Including his father, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Lisa Ray Massagee; his brothers, Mark Massagee and Robbie Poteat; his step-father, Ronald Lee Day.

            In addition to his mother, those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his daughters, Heather Robinson (Luke) of Newton, Jennifer Jackson (Sheila) of Illinois; his son, Cameron Massagee (Leigh) of Granite Falls; his step-children, Alicia Metcalf of Ocean Isle, NC, Ricky Metcalf (Candy) of Marion, NC, Timothy Metcalf (Ashley) of Granite Falls, Gary Metcalf of Morganton; his sister, Brenda Ballou-Ackerman (Joe) of Granite Falls; 13 grandchildren; five nieces and nephews.

            The family will conduct a Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the home of his mother.
