David Lee Mitchell

Mr. David Lee Mitchell, 77, of Boomer passed away November 29, 2024 at his home.

David was born September 3, 1947 in Wilkes County to Roby Landon Mitchell and Sallie Pruitt Mitchell.

David had a great love for his family, farming and building custom homes.

David is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Chris Mitchell, David Mitchell; sisters, Jeanette Billings, Shirley Sparks, Peggy Hudler; brothers, James Mitchell, Joe Mitchell, Roby Mitchell.

David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Retha Mitchell of the home; daughter, Pamela Miller of Boomer; sons, Sammy Mitchell and wife, Jennifer of Boomer, Shane Miller of Boomer; brothers, Larry Mitchell and wife, Judy of North Wilkesboro, John Mitchell of Hays, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

 A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday December 5, 2024 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Moravian Falls. Private burial at a later time.  

Rev. Dean Adams and speaker Justin Gourley will be officiating.
