David Lee Poole

            David Lee Poole, age 58, of Hiddenite, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 2, 2023. He was born September 15, 1965, to Betty Bailey Poole and the late Rev. C. D. Poole.

            He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Hiddenite, NC. He was a trustee and played the guitar. He was in the logging business and was a truck driver for the last twelve years, he drove for EPES Company.

            He was preceded in death by his father, four uncles, three aunts and two nieces, Ashley and Crystal Lyerly.

            Memories will be cherished by: his mother, Betty Bailey Poole; his wife, Rose Barber Poole of the home; his daughter, Stephanie Keaton and husband, Daniel, of Hiddenite; his grandchildren, Jordan and Landon Reynolds of Hiddenite; his brothers, John Gregory and wife, Janice Bailey, Michael Poole and wife, Beverly; his sisters, Sharon and husband, Rev. Jarvis Saner, Audrey and husband, Antonio Garcia all of Taylorsville; four nieces, Anitra Bailey, Angela Saner, Monica Saner, Stephanie Saner; two nephews, Chrystopher Garcia, Jerome Poole; two great-nieces, Cadence Saner, Sofia Garcia; a great-nephew, Kobe Acosta; three aunts, Lonabell Lackey, Wilma Stevenson, Maede Jones; and a host of cousins and friends.

            The Home-Going Service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leroy Smith and Minister Thomas Dula will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery.

            The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service.

            The family requests that everyone please wear a mask for all services.
