May 13, 1959 ~ January 10, 2026 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Donna Millsaps Obituary

On January 10th, 2026 Donna Heafner Millsaps was delivered into the presence of our great Savior.  She was born on May 13th, 1959 to Lander Heafner Jr. and Polly Heafner in Lincolnton, NC.

She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, a cherished mother to her three children, and proud grandmother to six grandsons all of whom were a great blessing in her life.

Her life was a reflection of faith, love, and service. She was a faithful and active member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church where she served on committees, supported missions, shared her gift of singing, and lovingly taught Sunday School. 

She delighted in spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren and expressed her love through baking and cooking for family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Phyllis “Polly” Heafner, grandmother Letha Heafner, father-in-law and mother-in-law Bobby and Lois Millsaps and brother-in-law Keith Elder.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Danny Millsaps, their children Adam (Natalie) Millsaps, Lydia (Aron) Gwaltney, and Daniel (Katelyn) Millsaps. Grandchildren Carson Millsaps, Malachi Gwaltney, Beau Gwaltney, Chase Millsaps, Rhett Millsaps and Rowen Millsaps. She is also survived by her father Lander Heafner Jr., two sisters Carol Rogers (Mark), Shelly Elder and brother Jesse Heafner, Two brothers-in-law Phil (Gail) Millsaps and Chris (Gina) Millsaps along with numerous nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 4 p.m., January 14, 2026, at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Pastor Bradley Anderson and Pastor James Safrit will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers include: Carson Millsaps, Malachi Gwaltney, Aaron Millsaps, Jonathan Millsaps, Brayden Millsaps, and Josh Rufty.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Backpack Ministry.
