Doris Ann Bennett

            Doris Ann Bennett, age 89, of Statesville, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

            Doris was born March 6, 1936, in Fayette County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Arthur Skaggs and Ruth Campbell Skaggs.

            She was of the Presbyterian faith and enjoyed quilting and fishing.

            Those left to cherish and honor Doris’s memories include: her husband, William “Bill” Franklin Bennett of the home; five step-children; 12 step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Janice Fitzgerald of Iowa City, Iowa; her brother, Delbert Skaggs of Shrewsbury, West Virginia.
