Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Juanita Simpson Griffith, 88, of Moravian Falls, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at her home.

Dot was born on April 29, 1934 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to Charlie T Simpson and Arizona Kelly Griffith Simpson.

She enjoyed animals of all kinds. She loved feeding deer, raccoons and bird watching. She liked taking care of her many cats and dogs over the years. She enjoyed weed eating and working in her flowers.

Dot is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Wesley Griffith Sr.; daughter, Ginger Lynn Griffith; sisters, Margie Wilmont, Mary Simpson, Claire Simpson and brother, Junior Simpson.

Dot is survived by her daughters, Kelly Smith of Moravian Falls, Freda Gullet and husband, Roy of Mississippi; son, James W. Griffith Jr. of Traphill, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will conduct a private service at a later date.
