Edward “Curt” Cooper, age 77, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at his home.
He was born June 11, 1947 in Alamance County, NC, the son of the late Mancel Cooper and Pearl Mae Fritts Cooper.
He worked in construction for several years, and later in the furniture industry, where he retired from Ideal Frame. He was of the Christian faith and loved to watch Elvis Presley and John Wayne movies. He loved yard selling, going to the beach, and working on cars.
Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife, Mary Helen Roten Cooper of the home; his daughters, Tonya M. Cooper of Lenoir, Kathy Hollar (Randy) of Taylorsville, Sherry L. Canter of Granite Falls; his sons, Edward T. Cooper (Nikki) of Lenoir, Michael S. Canter of Morganton; his grandchildren, Edward J. Cooper, Chassidy N. Hicks (Jeremy).
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until Noon, Friday, August 23, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held immediately following the visitation in the Taylorsville City Cemetery. Speaker Clarence Roten will officiate.
Randy Hollar, Clarence Roten, Michael Canter, Lester Bentley, James Ham, and Jeremy Hicks will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to a Hospice of your choice.
