Ella (Chafin) Sutherland

            Ella Chafin Sutherland, age 68, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her home.

            Ella was born October 5, 1956, in Lebanon, Virginia, the daughter of the late Arlen Chafin and Mildred White Chafin.

            She was a nurse for Russell County Medical Center for 20 plus years. She loved playing Bingo and loved her family especially her grandbabies. She was a very caring, loving, and social person.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Rita Keen; brothers, Mike, Donald, and Thurman.

            Those left to cherish and honor Ella’s memories include: her daughters, Rebecca Rodrigues, Francisca Cribbs and husband, Kane; her son, Carlos Sutherland; her grandchildren, Brandon Hernandez, Katelyn Sutherland and husband, Jose; several great-grandchildren, many friends and extended family.
