Obituary
Mr. Ellis “Red” Howard Roten, 59, of North Wilkesboro passed away unexpectedly on April 26,2023.
Red was born June 12, 1963 in Ashe County to the late James Warner Roten and Opal Lee Rash Roten.
He was a hard-working man, with a heart of gold who was always ready to help his family and friends.
Red is preceded in death by parents; sons, Jeffrey Roten, Matt Baker and sisters, Genieva Porter, Nancy Roten.
Red is survived by his wife, Tina Hawkins Roten; lifelong friend, Joyce Holt; daughters, Shaye Harrold of McGrady, Chasity Blackburn (A.J) of Indiana; sons, Michael Roten of Roaring River, Justin Baker (Donna) of Mulberry, Benny Roten of Delaware and many grandchildren.
The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date.
