Emma Valla Teresa Coffman Greaver, age 74, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at her home.
Emma was born May 18, 1950 in Elkins, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Haman Luther Coffman and Hazel Harvey Coffman.
She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She loved her best buddy and fury friend, Bubba. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to movies, and special activities. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, Joseph Varner; a sister, Ethel Simons; brothers, Hartzel Coffman, Frank Coffman, Robert Coffman, Richard Coffman.
Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her husband, Larry Greaver of the home; her daughter, Carolyn Talkington (Tyrone) of Taylorsville; her sons, Roger Varner, Jeffrey Varner, Tommie Varner all of Taylorsville; her sisters, Betty Ferguson (Jack) of West Virginia, Shirley Lyons of Maryland; her brothers, Delano Coffman (Linda), Lester Coffman (Wanda), Stevie Coffman (Shirley) all of West Virginia; her grandchildren, Dwight Talkington (Krysta), Dusten Varner (Christina), Teresa Murdock (Ben), Sarah Huffman (Alan), Candace Hilton (Zach), Joseph Varner, Melanie Varner, Jessie Varner, Alyssa Varner; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery. The grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service.
