Evelyn Marie (Brown) Keever

            Evelyn Marie Brown Keever, age 90, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at her home.

            Evelyn was born November 20, 1934, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Crowson Lynn Brown and Julia Faye Stikeleather Brown.

            Evelyn worked for Southern Device for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed embroidery.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James Atwell Keever; a son, James Stanley Keever; her brother, David Lynn Brown.

            Those left to cherish and honor Evelyn’s memories include: her daughters, Sharon Horn, Shirley Brookshire both of Taylorsville, Mary Jane Shufford of Ashe County; her son, Anthony Mark Keever of Taylorsville; four grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.       

            Evelyn’s request was to have no services.
